A medium-sized antelope species native to South Africa is the blesbuck. Owing to their abundance, blesbuck are one of the most popular bucks to hunt, making them ideal for a first-time hunter to Africa. Its white forehead blemish, known in Afrikaans as a “Bles,” serves as a suitable name and means that it can be recognized. Both the male and female blesbuck have horns, however the female’s are smaller and more delicate than the male’s.
