Wildebeests, also called gnus, are big herbivorous mammals that live in Africa. They have a dark coat, short mane, and curved horns. Wildebeests are preyed upon by large predators and migrate in large herds. They famously migrate across the Serengeti Plains, where visitors can witness spectacular river crossings and unique interactions with other species.

Kudus are African antelopes with two species: greater and lesser. The greater kudus are the largest antelope in Africa, reaching up to 5 feet tall and weighing up to 600 pounds. Lesser kudus are smaller with shorter horns. They feed on leaves, fruits, and herbs, and can jump up to 8 feet high and 30 feet in length. Kudus can be preyed upon by lions, leopards, and hyenas.

The warthog is a tough pig native to sub-Saharan Africa. It has distinct warts on its face and lives in savannas, woodlands, and grasslands. With a diet mainly of plants and insects, warthogs are fast runners. Males have longer tusks for fighting and females have shorter ones. Warthogs typically travel in sounders of females and their young.

The springbuck is a medium antelope found in Southern Africa. They have a reddish-brown coat, white underbelly, and dark stripes on their flanks. They can jump high using pronking and feed on vegetation.
