The Burchells Zebra has black and white stripes, just like every zebra, and each print is particular to that zebra. The stripes begin on the head and wrap around the body, around the belly, and the neck. On the legs, the stripes are less noticeable. At the base of the tail, unlike the Mountain Zebra, there is no grid iron pattern. Zebra are gregarious animals that live in strict hierarchical harems.
